Gillian Brend, M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Gillian Brend is a graduate of Ball State University located in Muncie, Indiana with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. She currently holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Some of her special-interest areas in pediatrics include, but are not limited to, dyslexia, neurodiversity, bilingual Spanish-English, and childhood apraxia of speech. She services students at schools ranging from Kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as local families.
Gillian’s ultimate reason for becoming a therapist stemmed from her desire to help others. Early on, she knew she needed a career that would fulfill her passion of serving others and contribute to their well-being. She always found communication to be a crucial part of an individual’s life: building relationships, participating in experiences, and expressing wants and needs. More recently, Gillian has found a passion for serving the pediatric community to help foster growth and learning not only in the patients, but with their families as well.
In her free time, her hobbies include sewing projects, working on cars, and going for walks with her husband.
